2019 TECH Gala Sets New Fundraising Record

Hutchinson, KS - November 23rd, 2019 -

The 2019 TECH Gala: Under the Sea was a record-breaking night for TECH, raising over $164,000 for the non-profit. The Gala was held at Main Street Event on Saturday, November 23rd and featured both live and silent auctions, food stations where guests indulged in delicious treats from local restaurants, and music and dancing capped off the magical evening.  President and CEO, Brenda Maxey, along with an individual served by TECH, spoke about the positive impact TECH services has on people with disabilities as well as the positive impact in our community.  The testimonial helped inspire the audience to participate in a mission drive for the TECH Foundation, totaling almost $25,000!

Local TECH Artist, Kelli Bringle and Artist, Julie Black, were featured during the live auction, when their collaborative original painting, "Reflection", was auctioned off. Other live auction items included; trips to the US Open, Mexico, Napa, and Charleston as well as several dinner packages, a wrapped mini truck, and a deluxe driving package to the Ron Fellows Institute in Las Vegas.

"An amazing TECH Gala Committee, gracious sponsors, volunteers, and event partners are instrumental in pulling this event together.  The Gala would not be possible without the support of our community, businesses, and individuals’ charitable passions.  We want to say a big thank you to our attendees and donors for supporting TECH's mission in our community," says Meghan Price, Director of Marketing and Development for TECH. "Our goal for the evening is that everyone walks away feeling like they learned something about TECH, the incredible people we serve, know that they make a difference in the lives of those TECH’s serves, and have fun doing it."

The 2020 TECH Gala is scheduled for Saturday, November 21, 2020 and sponsorship opportunities will be available in early 2020. To get involved in the Gala, please reach out to Meghan Price at 620-663-1596 or by email at mprice@techinc.org.
