Client Recognition Night is always a night to remember for our TECH Family and this year it was an extra special night as we reflected on not only the achievements of those served by TECH throughout the year but also the legacy that our founder, Maurice Cummings left for us.

Every year, those served are nominated by TECH staff and peers for their growth in four categories; Connection, Creativity, Self-Worth and Independence – each a pillar of TECH. Those recognized for their achievements have made significant progress in daily and life-long goals set by themselves, their family and their support staff. There is no more moment more exciting than the moment someone’s name is called and their peers are cheering them on as they make their way up to the stage! That same evening, we also recognized people for their years of service at TECH. We couldn’t have done any of this without the help our our favorite emcee, Jason Younger!

This year, TECH announced the addition of the Maurice F. Cummings Lifetime Achievement Award in honor of Maurice Cummings, our founder and first President/CEO. This award went to someone who epitomized the values of TECH and what we stand for. They are someone who is consistently bettering themselves as well as those around them. This year, the Maurice F. Cummings Lifetime Achievement Award went to Forrest Schowalter. Congratulations to all of our honorees!
