TECH, Inc. Names New Director of Supports and Services
Hutchinson, KS – Angela Penner, long-time TECH, Inc. employee, has been promoted to Director of Supports and Services. Penner will assume the job responsibilities of Aurie Wornkey, who retires in March 2022. Penner will be responsible for the oversight of TECH’s Residential Services, Day Services and Service Coordination Programs.
Penner began her career at TECH, Inc. 16 years ago as a Direct Support Professional in the residential department. She then served as a Service Coordinator for two years until being promoted to her current position as Director of Residential Services. “TECH is fortunate to have an exceedingly qualified individual from within its ranks to serve in this role. Angela is a strong, team-focused leader with a deep passion for TECH and the people we serve,” says Kevin Hess, Vice-President for TECH. In addition to her experience at TECH, she has also served as a board member for several community organizations and most recently joined the Board of Education for Burrton USD 369.
“I am excited for the opportunity to serve our TECH family in this new role! I am very passionate about TECH and our mission and look forward to continuing to grow with the agency,” says Penner.
In her free time, Penner enjoys taking road trips with her husband, Matt, engaging in various outdoor activities and spending time with her three adult children.
Penner will begin assuming her new responsibilities on August 30, 2021.
