Donald was thrilled, and TECH was honored, to receive a commission request from Hutchinson Regional Hospital. They asked us to incorporate old news articles into the background and paint over them, which was a very delicate process. Donald took on this challenge with confidence and excitement, creating a painting called “Hutchinson Hospital Heroes.”

Donald worked closely with his art teacher, Julie Black. They discussed the many aspects of healthcare workers coming together to help people in need. You can see Donald’s satisfaction and pride when he talks about his work on this piece.

Donald started painting in TECH’s Art Studio in 2021 and has become a dedicated and motivated artist. He has a great sense of humor and loves doing voice impersonations. Active in the community, he has worked at the same restaurant for over 20 years and enjoys bowling and playing Bingo. TECH is so proud of Donald’s accomplishments and cherishes the time spent together.
