Creative Connections Block Party Recap

On Saturday, August 16th, Downtown Hutchinson lit up with art, music, and community at the very first Creative Connections Block Party! Hosted by TECH, the event brought together friends, families, and supporters to celebrate creativity and connection in a brand-new way.
A Celebration of Creativity
Guests explored the Art Walk, stopping at downtown businesses to enjoy local artwork and collect stickers for the raffle. Many also joined in the Creative Connections Craft Zone, where creativity flowed freely and participants left with their own handmade treasures. Throughout the evening, TECH artists proudly showcased their work, reminding us of the joy and self-expression art inspires.
Community Coming Together
The night featured delicious bites from local food trucks and a lively Pop-Up Bar. Music filled Main Street with performances by Annie Up, Dylan Graves, JWHEELZ, and Wyatt Henson with Frankie Shayne Pearman, creating the perfect soundtrack to an evening of fun. The Art Walk Raffle added extra excitement, with unique prizes like custom-painted cornhole boards by TECH artist Madison Budreau.

What’s Next: Creative Connections Classroom
The Block Party was just the beginning. We’re thrilled to share that TECH will soon open the Creative Connections Classroom, a dedicated space where TECH artists and community members of all abilities can come together to create, learn, and grow. From hands-on classes to open studio sessions, this new space will build on the spirit of the Block Party by providing even more opportunities for connection through creativity.
