A Year of Connection, Creativity, and Community

If there is one word that defines 2025 at TECH, it is connection.
This year was filled with moments that reminded us why this work matters. From creative breakthroughs in the art studio to community outings, partnerships, celebrations, and everyday victories, TECH continued to be a place where adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities found purpose, belonging, and room to grow.
Where Creativity Came to Life
The TECH Art Gallery and Coaching Creativity programs were full of color, confidence, and expression this year. Artists explored new techniques, tried new mediums, and shared their voices through artwork that now lives in homes, businesses, and community spaces across Reno County.
More than just art, these experiences-built independence, confidence, and connection. Through creative coaching, individuals learned new skills, took pride in their work, and discovered new ways to express themselves. Each class, display, and partnership created opportunities for individuals to feel productive, seen, and celebrated.
Building Real Community
Throughout the year, TECH was on the move. Whether gathering downtown, enjoying seasonal outings, or partnering with local businesses, our community continued to show up in big and small ways.
Some of the most meaningful moments came from shared experiences. From cheering on our athletes at Special Olympics to dancing and celebrating together at the Creative Connections Block Party and our special dance party with the Ulster Project, these moments strengthened friendships, built confidence, and created lasting memories that carried well beyond the day of the event.
These gatherings were not just about fun. They created space for connection, inclusion, and real relationships to grow.
The People Who Make It Possible
Behind every smile is a team of dedicated staff, families, volunteers, and partners who believe in the potential of every individual we serve. Their compassion, patience, and commitment continue to shape TECH into a place of opportunity, encouragement, and growth.
In 2025, TECH also welcomed new leadership that helped guide the organization forward with a renewed focus on strengthening programs, expanding opportunities, and keeping individuals at the center of everything we do.
A Moment to Celebrate
While our year was full of everyday wins, we did take time to gather as a community at the 2025 Masquerade TECH Gala. It was a meaningful night of connection, celebration, and support that helped strengthen the programs our individuals rely on all year long.
The TECH Gala has become more than an event. It is a tradition that brings together families, friends, partners, and supporters who believe in inclusion, opportunity, and the potential of every individual we serve. Each year, this evening plays an important role in helping fund programs that create independence, creativity, and connection throughout Reno County.
As we look ahead, we are especially excited to share that 2026 will mark the 10th Annual TECH Gala. This milestone will celebrate a decade of community impact, meaningful moments, and lives changed through the support of those who continue to walk alongside TECH. We cannot wait to share what is planned for this special anniversary year.
