Meet Lance Rutan! Lance is a Team Leader here at TECH and has been with us for a year and a half!

What do you love about working here?

I love working here to help better the lives of the people we serve.

What brought you to TECH?

When I first worked for TECH, it was to find out more about IDD as my nephew was born with IDD. I have returned years later as I had missed the work. There is no more fulling work then making someone’s life better, even in the smallest ways.

What pillar means the most to you and why?

Self-worth, a lot of our people, either by family or people in general have been made to feel worthless, and it is a great privilege to be able to help them regain the feeling and a sense of self-worth.

What is most rewarding about the specific position and job you have?

Seeing how just a simple smile and just a conversation can change the world of someone.

Do you have a special memory about working at TECH?

Well, there are so many but the most recent would have to the new management program. We are involved in as I can see this being a big asset to the company as we are growing and learning about ourselves as well as our jobs.
