Get to Know Sam
What do you love about working at TECH?
Being able to help the clients in becoming independent and the difference I’ve made in their everyday lives.
What brought you to TECH?
I had went to a job fair and spoke to Aly and Kristan and made me feel welcome and want to work at TECH.
What TECH pillar means the most to you, and why?
The pillar that means the most to me is connection. Having a connection with the clients in a way that makes them comfortable to want to come and talk to you about anything that may be bothering them or to just say hi.
What is most rewarding about the specific position and job you have?
Being able to help the clients and staff in any way I can.
Do you have a special memory about working at TECH?
A memory I have is when I was single staffed at a house and the house had flooded and set the alarms off. I worked very quickly to get everyone out of the house and to safety before anyone had arrived to help. Before I was able to get ahold of any management I started getting the clients outside and then another staff, the fire department and management showed up to help out and get everyone transported. This was very memorable being on Christmas Eve, something I will never forget.
Do you have a favorite quote or motto that you live by?
Be kind to others because you never know what someone else is going through.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I enjoy learning new recipes to cook or bake to expand my knowledge and catching up on my sleep.
